Backpack and GPS Rentals

Backpack and GPS Rentals

Mount Hood is the tallest peak in Oregon, and is one of Oregon’s prime hiking destinations. The Timberline Trail, which travels forty miles around the mountain offers access to beautiful lakes, alpine meadows, and mountain views, with countless trails that offer multiple entry and exit points. There is so much to explore on Mount Hood, which makes it a major backpacking and camping location.

Let Mt Hood Adventure help you with the gear you will need for backpacking this season. We offer backpack rentals as well as GPS units to help you keep your bearings straight when exploring the Mount Hood backcountry.

We have a wide variety of packs for any trip – ultralight trekking in the Mount Hood backcountry, overnight backpacking/camping with the family, or even just a long day hike where you only need to bring a few extras. Mt Hood Adventure caters to locals and visitors to the Pacific Northwest, offering convenient backpack rentals at a great rate.

‘Do I really need a GPS when I’m on a trail?’ If you are hiking in perfect conditions, on trails you know like your own backyard, then maybe not. When hiking or backpacking in new places it is always a good idea to carry a GPS unit made for hikers and backpackers, which allow you to know your exact location. We offer GPS rentals and topographical maps of the area so you don’t veer off the beaten track, we will even help you program your route into one of our GPS rentals.
